  • Great for helping children in emotional and social skills development

The Dealing in Feelings Cards are a pack of 26 pairs of image cards depicting different emotions. They are durable, large format cards that each feature a photographic image of a person on one side.

We love that the images are photos of actual people, specifically children, as opposed to abstract cartoon images or pictures. This especially assists those with difficulty interpreting and recognising emotions, facial expressions and social cues.

The Dealing in Feelings Cards explore body language and facial expressions, promote inclusion and help promote awareness of emotions, both self and others.

Emotions explored: happy, sad, angry, calm, frustrated, silly, proud, excited, confident, confused, energetic, worried, grumpy, shy, bored, embarrassed, disappointed, jealous, curious, overwhelmed, surprised, lonely, annoyed, scared, disgusted, loved.  There is an Emotions Word Key that extrapolates on these emotions as well.  For example: confident (bold, courageous, optimistic) and embarrassed (awkward, uncomfortable).

The cards can stimulate discussion and be used as a catalyst for circle time or as story starters. A great resource for personal use or for teachers, casual teachers, coaches and group leaders.

    Dealing in Feelings Cards Features:

    • 26 Pairs of picture cards
    • Card size 13 x 8cm approx
    • Compact cardboard storage box
    • Age 5yrs+

Amazing quality!

We purchased the Harkla sensory swing for my daughter. It’s such wonderful quality. The material is so soft and it was easy to install. Thanks Starfish for another great product. All the kids love this one.

Just what we needed then and now!

Having been a teacher, I always browsed and purchased educational products from the previous shop in Kiama.

Now, as a grandparent I continue to love to visit your expanded business. I am keen to view new toys or regulation products to support my grandchildren’s needs. I have always found your staff knowledgeable,...

I love using your products with my NDIS client. I especially find the Coko Alphabet Bricks easy to use and so helpful in promoting literacy learning skills with my client. They also double up as a great playtime activity with my 7 year old granddaughter where we see how many words we can make out of a select few...

Sending a big thank you to the lovely team at Starfish store. I’m located in Melbourne and the lady I spoke to on the phone was more then happy to give her advice regarding noise canceling ear muffs. My 2 year old son, who has sensory issues, couldn’t be more happier! They have given him such comfort in overwhelming...

My daughter is a sensory seeker and seeks oral feedback and stimulation, we’ve purchased the Ark Z Vibe Grabber and instantly my daughter was getting the input she was seeking. The staff at Starfish are extremely helpful and the prompt service and delivery is always appreciated.

We purchased the Lycra swing from Starfish. It’s great quality (thick Lycra), stretchy yet firm, and has enough material for the kids to wrap around themselves. It also takes a lot of weight so can be used for years to come. Definitely great value for money.

My 5 year old nonverbal ASD was overstimulated, we tried our usual deep pressure cuddles and reassurance however it wasn't working. We decided to give the turtle a go, and he loves it he listened to the waves and quickly calmed to the blue wave over our roof within a minute. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I write this...

Absolutely love the Whoozit Water Mat. We got it today and Liam, who doesn’t normally like water, played with it for over half an hour with a huge smile.

We played with the Connetix tiles all afternoon with no TV on (big plus in our house). The best part about it was, I am not the best at actively playing with her and I actually played with her for a decent hour or two because I find them so fascinating! Win win!

I received my LCD writing tablet and I am thrilled. So far it’s been invaluable next to my computer to write things down if needed without wasting or looking for paper. I will take it in my bag wherever I go! Thanks so much Starfish!
