The Viga Wooden Rekenrek Abacus helps master early numeracy knowledge and skills. A very useful tool in the classroom or for home schooling.
Use as a visual tool to explain and understand subitising, number sense, friends of 10, counting by 2s and 5s and addition and subtraction.
The Viga Wooden Rekenrek Abacus has two rows of 10 beads (5 read and 5 white). This supports students to see, master and automate early numeracy skills, using 5 and 10 as the base point.Â
Students soon discover number relationships and develop a variety of addition and subtraction strategies, including doubles plus one or minus one, making tens, compensation.
