The Smart Kids Feelings and Emotions Cards are a set of 50 photo images featuring differing emotions. They are durable, large format cards. Each card has a photographic image on one side and ideas for activities on the reverse.
We love that the images are photos of actual people (as opposed to abstract cartoon images or pictures). And, that the photos are of people in real contextual situations. This especially assists those with difficulty interpreting social cues and contexts.
The activities are thought provoking and encourage development of skills and understandings of key social and emotional aspects of learning. The themes range from emotions such as fear, confusion, jealousy, excitement and sadness.
The cards can stimulate discussion and be used as a catalyst for circle time or as story starters. The Feelings are Emotions cards explore body language and facial expressions, promote inclusion and help promote awareness of emotions (self and others).
