Sea Life Sight Words Bingo is a carefully designed sight word game for beginners.
Whilst phonics is the foundation of reading, sight words help children build fluency. Kirstie made this game years ago for her own children to learn sight words, and then used it to help the children she tutors.
Sea Life Bingo is designed to be a very first sight words bingo game as it has only 30 words. These words have been selected from the 100 most used words and include the 10 words suggested from Reading Recovery as the most important for initial reading.
With lots of fine tuning, Kirstie came up with a formula that works well for children - enough words to support early reading and not too many words to overwhelm them.
It is all about success based learning and of course lots of fun!
