Junior Learning Spelligator Game can be both a fun word building game and a valuable concrete resource for teaching synthetic phonics.
As a game, each player has a crocodile and takes turns turning over letter tiles to try and build words on the gator's back. The player with the highest stack wins the game.
Designed by Dr Duncan, a specialist educator, it is based on research and best practice when teaching literacy.
We love that the Spelligator game can also be a really effective way of helping children to learn to sequence, blend and segment sounds.
