The Astrup Large Wooden Numbers features 15 funky shaped pieces that are specially designed for little hands. Each numeral is precisely measured so that the height equals the value. The greater the number, the taller the block.
The numbers are also perfectly aligned so you can add numbers up correctly by matching heights. For example the "10 piece" is the exact height of a "8 piece" with a "2 piece" on top.
The set can be used for addition, subtraction, number sequencing and counting forwards or backwards. They are especially usefully at teaching and reinforcing 'friends of ten'.
