The My First Yoga Book is a sturdy board book with easy yoga poses for little ones.

It is a terrific book to introduce fun and simple yoga poses to babies and toddlers.

Each double page focuses on one pose.  It gives a very clear description “Hold your feet together and sit up straight.  Then bounce your knees like wings flapping”  It then explains what is targeting “This relaxes your lower back and thighs”.

There are cute and colourful illustrations that make the link to the pose.  There are also photos of a child doing the pose.  We love that the photos reflect differing ethnicities, disabilities and genders.

Yoga can help develop strength, coordination and balance.  It can also help with self regulation and calming.

What a wonderful way to enjoy time with your children and at the same time help them learn skills for life.
