Starfish store about us. Starfish was established in 2004, by Kirstie Wishart in the beautiful seaside town of Kiama, NSW. Kirstie’s vision was to create a vibrant, inclusive and supportive family-focused store, with a heart for ‘helping one person at a time’.

Starfish Store carefully sources unique, five-star gifts and educational resources, games and toys. We’re all about nurturing curious minds, keeping fidgety hands busy, and supporting the individual sensory and specialised needs of our customers.

Follow us on Facebook Here or Instagram Here for new products, inspiring stories, interesting and informative content, and some good humour!

We also have brand new gift wrapping paper and personalised message option available with your order, check out your options in store online.

In early 2019, Starfish Store launched a new Sensory and Specialised Space — the first of its kind on the NSW South Coast. We recognise the positive response and much excitement from our Starfish community, which has made the Sensory and Specialised Space come to life.

It is our mission to provide an inclusive, quiet and calm space for families that allows them to explore their options, and ‘try before they buy’. We provide appointments to our customers, allowing exclusive use of the space which gives us time to support their individual needs.

Learning difficulties and disabilites are our specialty, and we’re also an inclusive employer. At Starfish everyone is valued, and belongs. Our team work with purpose and share in the Starfish dream, making the store so much more. We are an NDIS provider, and are surrounded by a strong network of like-minded industry professionals. We provide wheelchair access to the store as needed — just call and we’ll be ready!

If you would like to visit our sensory space, you can book an appointment in just 5 minutes Here
